Naw I kid. I actually learned a ton from Autocrossing. I've never really pushed my car that hard, even when doing things like road rallies. What I actually learned is:
Understeer for days
Oversteer for days
Body roll for days
Don't get lost in the sea of cones
POWAHH
Brake hard, gas hard. No in between. Well, mostly.
Don't lose to a bone stock mid 2000s Audi A6 filled with 5 people. Oh wait, most people lost to him.

Don't worry, I lost to an Accord. But I beat a 458 and a 991!

Actually, I lost to a bone stock 05-ish Accord too! Not even a V6. Shame. But I mean it was my first time, and he had better tires.

The triumph overways the failure.

My first autocross was in my 04 Mazda 3 2.0 5 speed. My only competition in my class was driving an automatic Acura CL. The kid driving it looked pretty young and was really enthusiastic so I asked him sincerely if he took mom's car without her knowing. He said no and was smiling a little less after that.

I lucked out the dude in the CL I raced against the first time had fists of ham. I had already been told by everybody else I better not lose to him.
